Nordic Bishops Conference 2025

Welcome to The Nordic Bishops Conference 2025 which will be organised in Tórshavn, the Faroe Islands, from June 23rd to 27th 2025.

The theme of the conference will be "Church in uncertain time beings. Church in times of war, immigration, climate and social injustice."

Tomorrow, Friday, the programme is as follows:

Accommodation

Accommodation is arranged at the conference venue - the Hotel Hafnia. The hotel is located in the Tórshavn city center. The hotel can guarantee bookings made by 1st March 2025.

Please make your booking directly with the hotel, and contact the hotel if you wish to stay longer than the duration of the conference.

The hotel can provide:
-Single rooms at DKKR 1.075 per night including breakfast
-Small double rooms at DKKR 1.325 per night including breakfast
-Double rooms at DKKR 1.600 per night including breakfast

Venues

The conference will be held at the Hotel Hafnia, except for the session on Wednesday 25th June which will be at the Nordic House. Thursday is set aside for an excursion to the north of the Faroe Islands.

Travel

The Vagar Airport (FAE) is located approximately half an hour by car from Tórshavn. There are regular direct flights to and from a number of international destinations. The most frequent flights are operated to and from Copenhagen.

There are multiple operators of flights to the Faroe Islands. The national carrier, Atlantic Airways, has the best regularity of operations.

There is also a ferry connection from the north of Denmark (Hirtshals) and the East of Iceland (Seydisfjørður).

Getting to and from the airport
Transport will be provided between the airport and the hotel upon arrival. And on the day of departure a shuttle service will pick you up from the hotel 2 hrs. before departure. Special services will be provided for those who have to leave from other places than the hotel.
